Work limits
Setting limits on how many hours employees work is an important factor for meeting contractual obligation, managing overtime, and overall employee happiness.
Work limits can be managed in different ways depending upon the requirements, which include managing contractual hours by minute, day, or shift across fixed periods or rolling windows.
Weekend work can be limited to a specific duration (minutes) or weekends per period (for instance, per month) or during a rolling window. Consecutive weekends can also be limited to ensure employees don’t work too many weekends in a row.
When scheduled hours differ from the logged hours this is managed with logged minutes.
When unpaid breaks fall within a shift, they can be defined on the shift and will not count towards the time worked.
